Selling car privately - is this a scam?

When I first started selling via e.bay ,I very nearly got scammed ,I was selling a gold item and they wanted it posted to Holland ,they e/mailed me what looked like a genuine proof of payment from PayPal and insisted the item was posted the same day ,luckily I noticed a couple of spelling mistakes in the supposed invoice and forwarded it to PayPal ,yep a scam I have been wary ever since .these days any money is transferred to a bank account that I use solely for e.ebay before I post anything .and that money is then transferred to another account within minutes .these days you have to be one step ahead of them
