Selling a lens through MPB

Used then around 6 months ago to shift all my Canon FF gear. I did drop the items off in person as I'm not too far away and money (the full quoted amount) was in my bank account within a few hours.
 
I sold a mint 17-40L to them for pretty much the same as I was getting offered on here. Their courier lost the lens but MPB were fantastic to deal with and paid the quoted price immediately. I don't know if/when the lens turned up, but I'd have no hesitation in using MPB again. I am in fact considering investing in them after Xmas if I have a bit of spare cash:

They are very local to me and I think they've got a decent business model.
 
I've had to chase them for payment the last couple of occasions after a week. They have however then made the payment the same day as I've chased them.
 
Ive sold stuff through them before. Price was OK. (Edit, actually price was good compared to other online reseller, they were consistently among the best quotes I received, though on occasions not always the best)

The only issues I had with MPB were them mis-quoting me on a lens I wanted to buy, and not honouring that quote. Also,the items I sold to them were at best 'fair' condition, (it was an x100 that had been stored in pockets and bags through its life and looked a little scruffy, one of the reasons I didn't want to sell on here) and MPB then described it as good on their website. I wouldn't have been happy buying it at that condition with a good description.

Used them in the past and although the price offered is usually less than what you could here or on eBay, the service is great and easy.
 
Used them several times and never had an issue. Usually got paid on the day the items were checked.
 
No problems for me when Ive used them (Twice). Matt is an excellent bloke to deal with.

Used them for the first time a couple of months ago to sell a lens - was a fair price, quote remained the same when they received it and payment was quick. I'd use them again.
 
I am quite surprised to read this as I was thinking of using them again. I wonder why they haven't responded to a lot of negative tales; previously, comments on here have been very positive.
