Selling a car paper work help

Hi all I am selling my car after 12 years. Do I still have to fill in V5C and post it to the DVLA or can I do it on line . I checked on their site an it looks like I might but after about the third page it tells me to come back during office hours...guy coming to look at it tonight .......

Any help gratefully accepted ....

Do the paper work by hand then post relevant bit to DVLA using signed for post

I sold my car a few weeks ago, and I notified the DVLA online. I filled the online form out, you just need the serial number of your registration document. I requested an email confirmation , and I got it in two minutes. I got a notification by post a few days later, very efficient it was.
