This thread is addressed to members who've have 'classifieds' dealings with the member CLICKCLOCKS. So please, only relevant members & civil posts. The thread is also sanctioned by admin, where as it wasn't before.

I'm appealing to those members who might have contact details of the said member, who I need to contact[not email].

The background is that the member is the only person who can assist in my obtaining a copy of the receipt for a lens I bought on here[from his buyer]. It's needed to make a warranty claim-warranty remains.

The member has been contacted numerous times, by me, another member[his buyer], and admin, yet chooses to ignore. It's accepted there is no enforceable obligation, but in the spirit of the forum, what possible harm could be done.

Any help appreciated

.

Chaz Photos, RicherSea, antc, Tim Sainsbury, gazzag, Euan, Nigey, AshD(buyers), and in particular, gingerweasel, Duncan.F,Chillimonster, CraigF, raythefab(sellers) - do you not have any information which might help?

he is active on here he was on today
i thought he may of answered by now
Cheers. But I'm not really expecting anything from the member - he's demonstrated no interest in helping in this already. Hence the reason for appealing to the people who've dealt with him, that will/might have contact details.

Have you checked with the manufacturer that the warranty is still valid? I find it odd that anyone would ignore you so blatantly and for so long unless there was an issue of some sort around the lens?

Yep. That's the point - the lens is in warranty, and it's been confirmed the receipt is required to claim. Agree, the situation is VERY odd. There's no reason why some one couldn't help another member to get a receipt if it did them no harm. I [think I]know the member doesn't actually have the receipt, but I know he knows who does - that's the sticking point.

Do you know where it was originally bought?

Do you need the receipt to show the serial number? I don't know how canikon handle things - is the lens registered to a particular individual and the claim needs to be by that person?

The can only think of one reason why someone would not want to help.

If you could declare yourself as not being able to assist, that would be helpful.

Why don't you PM those members and ask for their assistance? It looks to me that you only want to shout about this to annoy CLICKCLOCKS. Which, if that is your intention, well, fairy muff. :)

Individual PM-ing is long winded, and this way keeps every thing transparent. The thread isn't about shouting, and I doubt very much if anything would annoy CC. Thread is about establishing if any of the above members can help in any way.
As stated in the post1, the thread is addressed to those who've had classifieds dealings with CC. It's not some sort of opinion melting pot on the situation or invitation for advice. Please don't post if you've not had dealings with CC - the situation is tense enough as is.
Edit-If said members want to PM however, that is welcome.

I've highlighted the relevant part of your post above. I strongly suggest you PM those members you wish to talk to rather than do this on an open forum which will attract all sorts of responses, particularly as the "situation is tense enough as is."
