Evening all,
Wondering if any of you wonderful people mount prints onto self adhesive mounts and if so what technique do you use?
I got a couple of self adhesive mount boards from Picture Lizard earlier in the week and have mounted prints with some success although its really fiddly
I went 10 x 8 mounts to put 7 x 5 print with the 10 x 8 outlay mount, lining everything up and getting them to sit flat was a nightmare, the best way I seemed to find was to mark out the inside of the mount onto the self adhesive one, once marked then cut the paper off (leaving the outside of the mount). Once this was done I then remove the paper leaving the middle area to stick the print down ensuring no marks / bubbles etc
Once mounted and I was happy I then stick down the finishing mount leaving a fantastic finish, the best framed finish I have found
i know they mounts recommend using a mounting press but for the odd 1 or 2 its not really cost effective
If there an easier way anyone knows of to mount the prints to the self adhesive boards or am I going in the right direction now?
Just want to be sure before I get a 20 x 16 mount board to mount a 16 x 12 print
