right i know is this bad for but for the life of me i can`t remember how to do selective colouring, i last did it 6 months ago and all i cant remember doing is using the quick selection tool, highlighting what i want, after that i am stumpped.

do i need to open up the same image twice and have one as black and copy and copy it????

its driving me mad.
cheers people.

Magnetic lassoo tool pick the bit you want, go to select > inverse > adjust saturation to what you want and then go back to selcet > deselect.

all I do is make a second layer, turn it to B&W and then use the eraser to rub out the part I want in colour. It seems the easiest way.

Just what I would do -quick and simple

• Make a second layer and desaturation it.
• Select the add layer mask icon at the bottom of the layers palette
• Select a paint brush and make the colour black.
• Paint into the image with the black brush to reveal the colour.
• If you make a mistake change the colour to white and paint over the mistake
