Yes
I think some of these were on TP a while back but having just stumbled over the full series I thought I'd pop them up for anybody who hasn't seen them.

This first episode focuses on light, and how important a component it is in photography.

Today, composition is explored, and Charlie explains what to include in your photo in any given surroundings.

Today Charlie explores portrait photography, and how to photograph people well. He also visits places where photos were taken several decades ago

Charlie reveals several tips and tricks that you can use while taking pictures. He visits Glenfinnan railway bridge.

Today, alternative techniques are explored, and Charlie encourages photographers to experiment, achieving different effects.

Charlie teams up with wildlife photographer Laurie Campbell to learn some secrets to achieve the best photos with animals.

Much appreciated Phil, thank you for sharing.
Kevin

No problem Kevin

They're not the most recent films but they remain relevant and from memory they're also relaxing viewing.

Oh for better than 0.2mpbs broadband:(

Oooh - Having had broadband issues of late - I feel your pain.

Wonderful videos.

I saw these before visiting a few of the places. It was very strange as exciting to stand where Charlie stood. He has a great delivery style.

Thanks for posting and reminding me of that wonderful place that is Scotland.

Cheers.

Kevin - I download videos like this so that I can watch them unaffected by bandwidth.

Phil - watched No.1 so far. The images shown looked great, but I found it frustrating that he didn't appear to work the scene at all - just identified a couple of images to shoot, shot them & then finished apparently. The pictures were great, but I thought I kept seeing things I'd want to shoot. :)

I'd not heard of this series, it looks interesting; thanks for posting.

Dave

It doesn't get very technical from a photography point of view.

More a feel good type of programme although it touches on the basics.

I went and saw an exhibition of Charlie Waite photographs at a local gallery a couple of weeks ago which was very good. Made a huge difference seeing the prints rather than seeing the images on screen. However, while I was at the exhibition I bought a DVD they had for sale there as it was something I hadn't come across. It was called "Seeing Scotland"...

As we left I told my brother-in-law that I had bought it (he hadn't seen me buy it), and he said "That's all available on YouTube...."

Like music I guess. Sometimes it's nice to have something tactile though. (y)

Very true. Got a book of his at the same time and at least it feels as though you are supporting the photographer a little :)

Thanks for posting. I've been watching them and I really enjoyed the really relaxed pace and the simplicity of tips to catch all along the documentary. His picture are great to watch too. Great guy!

PS: the only thing that made me laugh was the tip in how to not confuse a seal for an otter! I never thought that could be a problem!

Thanks for posting, although the bit in the first episode where he's walking up the steps into the castle feels like an episode of the fast show ;) "Oh my, such lovely stones... such lovely light, exceptional, oh my"
