I've been using twin links for the last couple of years, I've got no complaints about them at all.

They work well over the distances I shoot ( never more than 30ft from light to camera) and they work through walls ok too. I've done a few shots now where one speedlite has been in another room. I really have no idea when they've been triggered by Ir or radio but as long as the lights all fire when asked in a happy bunny.

I currently have 3 sets, but need another receiver :)

You should be ok with them, the receiver has a magnetic base which is quite strong as well as standard 1/4" thread.

I personally use the small cable thats supplied with the trigger / receiver set to fire the speedlites via the pc socket rather than the centre pin as it reduces the weight and height of the flash when mounted on an umbrella adaptor.

There's a good range of channels to choose from, but tbh I've never suffered from anything interfering with them, just be sure to move the sleep timers away from the standard 5 min setting on the receivers or you'll be constantly running across the stage to reset them.
