Seculine Digital Action Level

Hi peeps

Thinking of going digital here, am wondering whether this is gimmicky or does it really work.

I can imagine its main advantage is for night shots, but is it really quicker to level up successfully than the traditional analogue bubble level?

In a word, yes! Not only that but you can use it handheld with the camera to your eye - you can see the LEDs at the top of your peripheral vision. It can be fine tuned if your hotshoe is slightly off true (mine aren't) and can be set to varying degrees of sensitivity.

I have several bubble levels (freebies and gifts) and of the 6, only 2 agree (and they're off a bit from true level!) with just one being level enough to use. That's now relegated to truing up picture on the walls! (It lives in the camera bag though - just in case the Seculine batteries die.)

I originally ordered mine from Bris tol Camreas who let me down on delivery and lied to me about it but the Devon Camera Centre got me one at the same price (I collected so saved on the P&P) and were quick about it.
