Purchased a used Nikon D7500 from a local store this week. With a shutter count of only 746, it was well worth the money I paid for it. Opened the box and it looks absolutely brand new. The instruction booklet's back page revealed the owners name an address. It was bought from Wex in May 2019. Intrigued to find out why it has hardly been used. I'll double the shutter count at the next parkrun.

Sounds like you got a very good deal.
Could be the previous owner bought it & found it too complex.

I bought a secondhand Panasonic G80 from a shop that had taken 93 photos.
It came with two spare batteries, so they were likely never even inserted in the camera.

They were always a good camera but gained no popularity for some reason, i remember people being very upset that nikon had taken a card slot away and something about the grip , plus i think the d500 overshadowed it.

Card slot missing doesn't bother me. 64GB stores all the ones I need at a race. None of my photos are world beating so a backup card isn't important. The D7100 has served me well and in a way I don't know why I've bought another camera. Being depressed during Lockdown and coming back to normality, I wanted to treat myself. GAS!

Because you can never have too many. It's usual to have not enough, not rare to have enough and it's possible to have more than enough BUT more than enough is still not too many.
