Second body

Thinking of a second body , I already have a D300 so was thinking of the D300s as I love my D300 and the lens to suit , not bothered bout FX , anyone any thoughts .

Lenses I have , Nikon 16-85vr ,Nikon 70-300vr , Nikon 50mm f1.4 , sigma 10-20 , sigma 105 macro . Money no worries .

In that case with a good spread of lenses a D300s sounds like a solid idea, good camera with good performance, would say go out and try one to see if you like it but coming from a D300 not sure you'll notice a lot of difference only other option is get a second body of another used D300 and more money towards lenses (but you have a good glass atm) so depends if that was something you would consider?

I wonder how long Nikon will continue to develop pro DX bodies as the emphasis seems to be firmly FX in the pro range.

They gave up 3 years ago! I'd like to see a proper pro DX body. I never considered the D300 in the same league as the D2 or D3 series bodies.

Considered the D7000 but it feels to light and not as robust. As the D300 .

The body really as I need a back up , but would like the lens as well , think I've fell into the never satisfied trap lol .
