Sebastio Selgado - RIP

His pictures were some of the most iconic photos of people for me, one of the few to really get emotion into their pictures.
 
He was in my 'random photographer' bag for students to pick from on research week. Always found the homework from students who got him to be very interesting.

Sad.
 
I managed to see his Amazonia exhibition a year or two back when it came up to Manchester. The scale of the project and the subject matter was matched only by the size of the prints. His books are also vast in scope and size, to the point of being overwhelming, but he leaves an incredible body of work.
