Sad news indeed only 51.
Saw a picture on BBC news of him earlier in the year and he looked much older than 51 and in very tired shape.

proper sad this one is for me, loved his work loved his love of alt/indie.. regularly had Carter USM on his show and brilliant when he had Robert Smith (The Cure) on.. spontaneously funny.

Never really a fan, but I did like him when he was on Buzzcocks.
51 is no age at all
It seems (according to the BBC), that his final Tweet was simply, "In hospital."
Rest in peace, fella.

Just seen the sad news on the BBC. He was a very funny chap, which is maybe the best you can say of a Comedian.

He was also a very good actor too, though not acted in too many things.

Makes you feel really old when people die that young.
