Sealskinz

I use the MacWet gloves and find them excellent. Whilst they do not offer great insulation, just enough to stop my pinkies getting too cold, they do give great feel and grip. I use mine for both photography and flying Radio Controlled aircraft. In the latter case feel and freedom of movement is critical! If you do get a pair make certain that they are a tight fit - that is when they work best. There is a review below.

Shooting - fold back trigger finger. Sporting - finger and thumb.

Both the Sealskinz options aren't massively insulated, but a pair of good quality silk liners makes a world of difference, and you can still control the camera nicely too.

The MacWet gloves do not have fold back fingers/thumbs - I find them better for it. The sales pitch (from the vendor) was to see if you could manage to pick up a small coin on a flat table wearing these gloves. Quite clever really as this test is much easier with these gloves on rather than bare hands!

For my photography uses they are simply the best that I have yet tried and vastly superior to the Neoprene hunting gloves that I used to use.

Tobers mentions glove liners -these can be great on their own if it is not too cold.

Don't know where you live Markyboy, but my MacWets are good enough for a UK winter and I have Reynauds:
