Seagate Momentus?

Hi Everyone,

was going to get a 500gb 7200 drive for my MacBook pro but stumbled accross this on Amazon...

seems VERY cheap? am i missing something? is this too good to be true?

Nothing wrong with the price, I brought 2 Samsung spinpoint F3's (1TB) for my raid build and they cost £40 each from Aria

Is there a reason you want to change drives? reason i say that is because external drives are just as cheap as internals nowadays

yeah whitey my laptops just full basically its only 160gb so not a lot nowadays so needs a boost and I can allocate more space for Photoshop to use then so that'll purr a little better I hope

I just put a Momentus XT into my MBP, it's a fantastic drive, blogged it here : http://simontaylor.wordpress.com/2011/01/14/the-momentus-seagate-momentus-xt/

Basically a cross between an SSD and a standard drive, very fast.
