Sea spray on filter clean?

What is the best way to clean sea spray off a filter while at the beach?

Wipe it off before it dries

And carry a bottle of ordinary water to rinse it in case you don't get the salt off before it dries - also useful if theres sand blowing too as you can rinse this off and not risk scratching the surface of the filter.

I use a spray bottle of lens cleaning fluid - available from all good opticians - to wet the filter and then carefully wipe it clean with a lint free cloth.

Oh, and I take the filter off the lens first so as to avoid getting fluid inside the lens
