Hi All,

I need to replace all of my sd cards. Have always used Sandisk (Ultra/Extreme and Extreme Pro) but have heard good things about Transcend and Gobe.

Does any one have any experience with either brands?

Thanks

I just bought a new camera and, like all
my other three, it will be equipped with the
Sandisk Extreme Pro 64GB as I trust it.

Other manufactures have good reputations
too but there are questionable "
copies" on
the market and these should be avoided.

Sandisk for me. Always from reputable suppliers too - loads of fakes around, especially on e-bay who actually have a few pages on how to spot fake cards.

I used to use only Sandisk but had so many performance and/ or issues with fakes I looked for alternatives, lexar seem to be the darling of the Internet but I found transcend to have better specs be and less expensive and as good as the other brands.

Why do you need to replace them all? Just curious

Always used Sandisk, no probs ever........(fingers crossed!)

Although I'm a big fan of Sandisk Extreme & Extreme Pro I've also been using Integral cards recently and have found them very good. Integral is a relatively new British company, based across the road from IKEA in Neasden, and the support department was very helpful when my RX10 II said one of the cards wasn't up to spec.

This, exactly.
As an aside, we use sd cards in servers to run the vm software. Had lots of issues with corruptions on cards other than sandisk, which when kit is in data centres is a pain. For the sake of the price of a 16gb sd card, we always swap them to sandisk now.

Well I don't need to but I want to. I've been buying cards over the last 5 years and been lazy labelling them so I can't remember which ones are the oldest.
I would rather buy new cards and know where I am with them.

Sounds like SanDisk may have increased their reliability. About 4 years ago I had a string of SanDisk cards fail on me. SanDisk to their credit replaced the memory cards under warranty but I could not trust the replacements so I sold them unused and bought different brands of cards.
I now use a combination of Samsung and Trancend. I have never had a problem since moving brands.

Pretty much what I experienced, but mine was 1-2 years ago.

I use Kingston u3 cards which are apparently very close in speeds with Sandisk extreme pros but are fair bit cheaper.

Sandisk for me too, I've heard about Transcend cards getting too slow to reliably record video after about 6 months of use.

SanDisk for me also, had a few issues over the years with Transcend,so won't buy them anymore!

I use Samsung EVO and Sandisk extreme pro and haven't had any problems. Always direct from amazon to "hopefully" avoid the fakes.
