On horses, I made big faux-pas last Saturday. I met our next door neighbour in the garden and she told me that her husband's horse was racing at Kempton Park and she was so looking forward to watching the race on TV.

I met her later as we were going out for a meal and said that the horse was still running. She turned to me with a tear in her eye and told me that the horse, Endless Power, had broken down and died after pulling-up in the race. I felt like **** after she told and all I could do was give her a consoling hug. :(

Not trying to play devils advocate but from this it's not clear that the fire was even deliberate let alone who started it, unless there's been more evidence found?
 
That's sad, poor lil neddies.

I'm not a horsey person but I once had a go on one and it's quite good fun, they're magnificent animals. If it was started deliberately I hope they're caught and punished sufficiently.
 
thats sickening, they should be tacken out the back and shot, I am against capital punishment but for this its justified, horses with way out thats not right
 
It defies belief what some people will do for 'kicks'. Then on the other side of the coin (second link) you have the support of a community not too dissimilar to what we have here.
 
there's far too many sick barstewards walking amongst us and getting away with it. Our local paper carried a story yesterday about three ponies that had all been stabbed around their noses and mouths which I'm not ashamed to say brought a tear to my eye on the way to work.

I'm really of the opinion now that this once great nation gas gone soft with too much emphasis on peoples rights and feelings. These scum have no rights and should be hung drawn and quartered. I'd even volunteer

+1 on the hung, drawn and quartered act. They deserve it. No motive behind vandalism at all.
 
in my area I really do think they would get linched, I know a farmer that very nearly whacked a traffic copper one because he made him stop on an incline for a 'random check' when he had a load of cows in his trailer, one fell and was crushed by the others - nasty
 
Jeez, they were talking about this last night at my daughters yard.

Sickning, that poor girl must feel really gutted! Unbelieveable!
