Well got my 2209WA today. Calibrated and looking lovely.

question about the rotating display.

apart from having to do it through the Nvidia control panel, are there any small apps that live on the task bar that can do it for me?

thanks

That doesn't appear to do anything on my Vista system:(

nope, is the primary.

On some video cards the ctrl-alt-arrow shortcut is disabled by default - if you look through the nvidia display properties options you'll probably find one to activate it (and definitely one to rotate the image).

Thanks Mark see above. (didn't want to faff about in Nvidia panel)

I read that - what I was meaning to say is that once you've change the option once in the Nvidia panel, you don't need to use it again - the shortcut then works independently of the panel.

But you've found an alternative solution anyway so no issue now!

Out of interest how did your calibration go? I got my new 2209WA on Saturday and ran the first calibration with a Spyder 3 pro this evening. It didn't ask me to change any of the colour, contrast or brighness settings on the monitor (brightness was already set to 25%, contrast to 75%) and the new profile it created was only just noticably different to the default. Either I'd already calibrated it remarkably well by eye over the weekend or I've done something wrong with the Spyder.

My brightness and contrast were at 75% each so it adjusted brightness down quite a bit.

Also adjusted the RGB controls to match the spyder recommendation.

Could see the difference afterwards.

Just got to find time to do all my printer papers now:)
