Hi

I have just been given a touch screen moniter, set it all up and it works fine, well I thought it did till I tried to open Digital Photo Proffesional (DPP) and I got this message on the screen:

"This program requires a display of 1024x748 resolution or more, and high colour or higher settings"

My screens resolution is set to 1920x1080 but i cannot get it to open the progam.
Any help with this will be much appreciated. every other program I have on here opens fine, PSE8 etc

Thanks

I got it given free from my wifes work to try out for a month or so.

Its better than the one I had so anything is a bonus, to be fair though I have not used the touch screen part of it yet, old school and like my mouse.

whats the colour settings set to, typically this will be in display options.

also it may be worth finding the right driver for the screen from the manufacturers website, itll give you options for all of the correct resolutions and refresh rates for the screen, it should also make it look a little cleaner.

Got it to work.
The moniter was set to true colour 32bit so i tried high colour 16 bit and it works now.

What the difference is I have no idea, I am not technically minded, could you please explain it to me simply??

odd, i would have thought it was set to 16 and wanted 32.

its essentially the amount of colours (in thousands) the screen is displaying. i think 16bit is something like 4 thousand?

edit - yeah about 4000 vs 16 million

To be fair i thought it was odd too a photo program wanting less bits.
Bloomin computers i will never figure them out.
Thanks again

Depending on the monitor brand is there a profile or driver you need to download?

I would try changing back to 32bit colour if you can, 16bit is pretty limiting and you'll notice quite a few things will look decidedly ropey.

I did try to change it back but it still will not run on 32bit.

I tried a search for updates to the drivers and still the same.
Like I said the moniter is not going to be perminant so not really too worried.
