Can someone recommend a good quality screen protector film please. Looking for one that is easy to remove and doesn't leave any residue behind.

OK, judging by the number of replies I think it's fair to assume that:

No one uses stick on screen protector film or what I'm looking for doesn't exist.

I generally get the ones Jessops sell, think they come in a pack of two with cleaning wipes to make sure the surface is completely clean before attaching them for a few ££.

Cut to size, fairly rigid, simple to put on and has never left any residue when I've removed them. If you put them on properly they won't generally come off through normal use, I think the last time I removed I had to use a credit card to try to get the corner to bend up enough for me to peel it off.

Unfortunately I can't use the glass type as my G12 has a vari-angle screen which wouldn't close properly if the glass type was fitted.

How about buying good Mobile phone one and cutting to fit then?
 
I got an expert shield one for the X100 - it's very clear and easy to apply. One of the best film ones I've seen. Have to admit that I'm tempted to change it for a ggs though - I've one of those on my k7 and love it - super clear!
 
I used a mobile phone one o my D200 and it was perfect. They come in loads of sizes and the market is a cheap place to buy.

I don't know what the downside is using this instead of a proper one, but it worked fine for me.

The films are edge to edge in their design so the hardest part would be getting an edge to peel back with, but once done, there would be no residue left. 3M claim that they can be re-positioned and I can attest to that fact having positioned mine a couple of times in the fitting process, at no point was any residue left on the displays.
