Just wondered what you all use to clean your PC screens. I am sat here in front my three Dell 24" beasts, and notice they need a good clean. But what to use.

I have not long had a new packard bell and the instruction say to only use a damp cloth even although it has a glass front.

I used to use Mr Muscle window cleaner on my previous screen.
Reckon I'll use a microfibre window cloth on this one when needed.

My mrs thought she was helping by using some some screen cleaner on my TFT and it smeared like anything, dunno how to get the streaks off. I now just wipe with a microfibre. Any tips on streak removing would be good.

Got some screen wipes from Aldi a few months back, they are alcohol based from the smell of them and work really well (on all sorts of things).

I use Opticlear, their good for monitors, specs, camera lenses etc etc. Prpbably cost around a pound for 26 in a pack at the likes of Morrisons etc. I get mine free cough cough but they do a great job.

philips screen cleaner plasma and lcd friendly great stuff to use

regards ian

MR Muscle glass cleaner and some paper towel, works a treat, no streaks/marks and it's cheap, used it for years

I've used niceday screen clearer (in a pump style bottle) with a paper towel, does'nt leaves streaks, very good stuff.

Microfibre cloth, water with tiny bit of liquid soap

Microfibre cloth, and a product called Clean Dr if absolutely necessary. Must say, I'm trying to give up smoking and the screen doesn't get nearly as grotty as it used to, when I smoked whenever I was working at the computer!
