Scratch on ipad screen

This is a 12.9 ipad pro. The scratch isn't deep. It's one of those you can see only when the screen is tilted in the right light. The big one is about 2in, the small one 0.5cmm
However, I would still like to get rid of it if possible. Is there a scratch remover you can buy for these screens or any tips on homemade ways to remove it?

It takes industrial processes to produce these. I know
of no way to repair them… just to create an illusion.

I read about one that cleaned the cracks with ethanol
and filled it with way without spreading it and finished
the illusion with a crystal protection sheet — that I did
put in place when mine was new!

It is faint the scratch. A macro lens makes it look worse. I was hoping someone would say put a little bit of toothpaste or something on it :)
 
Have you tried a good quality screen protector? Won’t mend the scratch but might make it unnoticeable.
 
do you have accidental damage house insurance?

I removed a couple of scratches from my plastic head lights, using a combination ( one at a time) of "Brasso" and toothpaste
Soft cloth, slow circular movements.
I've no idea what an iPad screen looks like or is made of, so no idea, if it'll work or not on that, I'm just saying it works on plastic headlamps

I cringe at the thought of messing it up. I could live with it, just be nicer if I knew it wasn't there.

I know what you mean, its the little things that irritate more than the big things sometimes :(
 
I have worse, I bought a reconditioned iPad Mini from Apple and then didn't need it. I decided to keep it and put it away for future use. A year later I opened the box and promptly dropped it on the kitchen floor. Result one crack right across the screen, doooooh, probably cost as much as it's worth to get a screen put on it.
 
If the screen is glass a jeweler might be able to polish the scratch out, the issue is without knowning it may do more damage (same with the brasso etc) some chemicals react differently with different materials I would advise checking before you do it.

Actually replacing an iPad Mini screen, while a bit tedious (getting all the glue off), is something you can do yourself at home if you're patient and methodical. Just look on eBay for "iPad Mini replacement screen with digitiser". If your iPad Mini has TouchID (finger print reader) then you also need to transfer the home button from the old glass to the new. iFixit has some good step by step guides (you can use a good hairdryer to warm the glue rather than the heat tool they suggest).

The issue comes if the metal frame is damaged as then the new glass may not fit (I've had to file down a corner of an iPad which was dinted).

Cost £10-20.

The later iPad Pro (such as the OP has) is different as the screen and glass/digitiser are laminated together so the cost to replace the scratched screen there is more like £150.
