Thanks Andy. Well done on your highly commended as wellNicely done Peter.
I do wish LPOTY awarded the winner based on portfolio though like SLPOTY does - I think it's a much fairer judge of talent, and awards consistency over one great shot and lots of average ones.
I was really pleased to get a commended in the Four Seasons (Summer) category with my image of Buachaille Etive Mor. I was quite surprised given that it was taken from the "classic" viewpoint but went ahead and entered it anyway. I have to say that there are some stunning images in the winners section.
Many thanks for the kind words Steve. Some of the framing was due in part to the fact I had my springer in tow so I wasn't able to get right up to the edge in case she knocked over the tripod.I've just round to looking at this. It's a rather rewarding (no pun intended) image to look at. Perhaps it is the framing and soft gentle light. It's unmistably summer and it's good to see a nice summer image do so well.

Wow thanks Steve. Praise indeed.I think it makes it though. I know where you've taken it from and although it's not as well a shot an angle as you know where, it still has been done, but none that I've seen are as good as yours. There is a real quality to it.
As hoped my copy arrived this morning and I have to say I very much agree with what you've said Andy. Quality images and printing. It's nice to see my image in there amongst some stunning images. Can't wait to get up to Scotland again.I bought 4 SLPOTY books, one for me and the rest for relatives (that's Christmas sorted out!).
Very impressive production, lovely quality printing and paper. And a whole host of gorgeous pictures to gawp over. There are a lot from places I've never heard of - I'll have to get the map out and see what I've been missing. There are also a few "meh" pics in there, but they are quite rare and on the whole the books is really rather lovely.
