Scot's Quine's 52 week challenge - 2022 - WK 52 added

That is very clever. For a moment I thought you'd erroneously done two shots, but that made me smile. It reminded me of that letter that went viral about the dam beavers. (or damn beavers). Must see if I can find it.

You definitely made me think about that one. Excellent idea!

Week 10 - through a window Back to the more mundane after my off the wall shots for Damp!

Well he/she/it looks happy.
Daffodils give a good sense of scale.

It may be mundane but it's a fun shot Joan!

Interesting fella! The daffodils provide a nice splash of colour and added interest to the shot.

I half-expected this to have some reference to 'carding', a method of wool production as shown here.

Nevertheless, an apt and simple picture for the theme.

Good contrast the dark background helps the colours stand out.

Excellent. I do a lot of fair isle knitting and often end up with a big pile of discarded ends! That's a lot of squares...

Lovely shot for discarded. Bang on theme and very different to others offered this week.

I like both shots Joan, the POV and lighting of the phone and the colours of the discarded threads against the dark background.

Both technology and discarded are perfect for the theme.

I like how you have the horizon in a good spot with the phone, with the change in colour in the background.

Good colours in both the shots, muted and colourful suits each theme nicely.

Very nice Joan. I like the low viewpoint.

You often have some lovely frames on your contributions. Can I ask what software you use to put them on?

Plenty of flora in that shot Joan, and as Bee says, an unusual, low viewpoint that helps make it work.

I just use my editing software - Elements - and to this one I did a white 2 px outline of the image then popped a drop shadow on in green against a lighter green background.

Nice one Joan, the low POV adds and extra dimension.

Another thumbs up for the POV. I struggle to get up from those shots these days :D

Nice one Joan, certainly unusual and certainly creative!

I like that. Works very well.

Great composition. It has a hint of Klimt about it!

It is called the DROSTE EFFECT.

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The original 1904 Droste cocoa tin, designed by Jan Musset (1861–1931)[a]
The Droste effect (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈdrɔstə]), known in art as an example of mise en abyme, is the effect of a picture recursively appearing within itself, in a place where a similar picture would realistically be expected to appear. This produces a loop which mathematically could go on forever, but in practice only continues as far as the image's resolution allows.

Ooh very creative. Love it! The minute I saw it I was reminded of a peacock's tail.

Off to google .... Klimt and Droste effect.... just realised you explained  I think I need a nap :ROFLMAO:

Edit: @HelenC we did the Tree of Life jigsaw at Christmas. I had forgotten already about Klimt. It was a nightmare by the way - very difficult!
