Scot's Quine's 52 week challenge - 2022 - WK 52 added

I like that. There's an unreal quality to it... and now I have that damn song stuck in my head.

Week 5 - Snappers Choice

Have been experimenting with smoke trails this week but not having much success. This is one of the better ones.

I'm always interested in seeing smoke trail shots Joan, it's something I haven't explored. Not sure if the solid green/yellow at the bottom is working for me, it keeps pulling my eye downwards.

I have no idea how you would do that. Is it a jos stick and coloured light? You've managed a nice shape in the smoke.

I have a new coloured light coming today so I might have to have a play!

It was two joss sticks in natural light which was a mistake, better with flash I think, and then just painted in PS. I now have a flash so I think I might experiment with that a bit.

Now that does look like an interesting place to explore. Nice atmospheric shot Joan.

That looks like a very pretty village and the sky looks very familiar at the moment!

A quant alley heading towards Paradise.
Nice perspective and the wet path gives it a bit more character.

Looks a bit moist! Nice one :)

Looks like a nice place to live, typically Scottish including the weather.

Wonderful shot Joan, How did you get Thor to let go of it long enough to take it?

Love this shot Joan. The darkness and use of negative space make a cracking image.

Nice 'ommer :)

I really like this shot, great use of angle, depth of field positioning in the frame and lighting.

However, I think that you need to revisit the bottom right corner where theres some processing needs tidying up where you've done some cloning or brushing as there's some straight edges and by the end of the handle there's a repetitive pattern too where some clonings gone on?

Works very well that! Well shot :)

Really like this Joan, makes me think of a feather or a swooping hawk.

Really love the last 2 images for heavy and light, the Hammer shot with its negative space really gives it ( excuse the pun) weight and the feather falling is so well executed for an image that can’t have been easy.

I like that a lot Joan. ICM is lovely with the feather and the lighting works well.

There were a fair few feathers flying around by the time I managed this! It was a case of do or die as far as the technique was concerned!

Dam-P - now that's clever :D

Hard to see the landscape very well Joan with the image being so small. I'd love to see it as it's own upload (and the fork as well...)
