I'm on my way upto Scotland, and looking for places to go for landscape and wildlife photography.

I want to go to Isle of Skye, Fort William, hopefully claim Ben Nevis, and will be in the Inverness area for the TP meet, on the 6th September.

Does anyone have any ideas of where to go for great landscape shots (no 'any where in Scotland' :razz: replies please) and to capture some wildlife. I would be interested in getting some Sea Otters, Ospreys and hopefully some deer.

There was a topic on here with a list of interesting places to visit all over the country. I cannot find it, can someone point me in the right direction.

Deer can be seen anywhere at anytime. Or to be more precise - not seen as they're quite elusive, especially at this time of year as they're up on the high ground! For a semi-definite view of deer you can visit Loch Muick near Ballater where they are quite tame. This could link in with a trip to Loch Garten just over the hills to view ospreys WHICH ties in with getting some decent landscapes on Deeside and the Cairngorms.

If you did that I'd go from there to Fort William (take a ride up the gondolas on Ben Anoch (great views) http://www.nevisrange.co.uk/summer/index.asp, pay a trip to Glencoe and return up to Skye that way and across to Inverness from there.

Skye - anywhere but I like the Quiraing in the north of the island - jagged peaks, but all views of the Cuillins are great.

I think you can get an Osprey at Boat of Garten, near Aviemore. I think the hit rate is very high in terms of an apperance.

Cheers guys keep the suggestions coming. Please remember will be looking for some sunrise/set shots as well :thumbs:
