Fascinating link- people really pay money for this stuff?

Not sure if such things exist based in UK- wouldn't have thought there was a market for hand painted backgrounds as they look completely unrealistic and even the computer printed ones don't look great. Creases and lighting would be fairly problematic as well- the objects don't exist so the light isn't going to interact in the same way.
Perhaps others have better knowledge of what's available as it's not a product I'd have gone looking for.

Personally I feel there are much better solutions- shoot your own backgrounds and transpose your photo on them. Shoot your subject on a chroma screen although if you have good software and watch your colours you can cut out from other backgrounds such as grey easily enough.
Alternatively, you could purchase some stock photos for use as a background or look for royalty free images to use.

I just think you would be wasting your money but it's your money.

UK seller found, pretty decent as well, it will do for what has been asked of me...

Maybe try talking to the various theatre scenery hire people in this country? They all have decent photos of their cloths (often of the original artwork) and they look far superior to the bad school Panto effort you've linked to! ;p

that christmas one looks terrible. I can imagine however a more subdued backdrop might work, a dark scene or something.
I did see one like this that was an old church that looked ok as you didn't need to light the model in front if it much, but it must be tricky.
would be keen to see the results you get :)

Isn't the idea that you make the background OOF enough that it looks right?
