SCARY

That third clip; the cars turning in the road and legging it. Properly scary.
 
They keep finding more astonishing footage, that seems to be from traffic cams and speeded up quite a lot.
One of the surreal things if you watch a few on youtube is the slowness at the start, where it just looks like a tidal bore and even in Japan people must have wondered if that was it.
Then the water just keeps on surging in - quite terrible to watch.
Never before have we seen a large Tsunami so well documented and it is interesting - and not quite what you might expect with those walls of debris rolling on ahead.
 
Saw some footage the other day taken from a helicopter. In one clip you see this dog legging it away from the ensuing surge but the poor thing just wasn't quick enough. Couldn't have survived.c
