Scam?

The "seller" has -1 feedback which reads: "won item, paid, payment returned, they listed the wrong price bad ebayer z------"

Fishier than a fishy codpiece!

Leave it alone and move on...

Offer to pick it up. If you want, I'll go and take a look if I can (work permitting) and let you know the score...

PM me, happy to do it, but have to say that auction looks VERY suss, so I'd pass were I you...

Cheers,
James

Presumably you are bidder6 and if so how could a scammer get your email address? or send you an Ebay message?

I saw this when the price was £2.20. :thinking:My 1st question to myself was if I had a £1000+ bit of kit brand new would I put it up for sale for 99p. I kept an eye on it but it then jumped very quickly to £300 - £500. Sorry, for me this is a no brainer ..... if it sounds too good to be true it most certainly is. Leave it.

Just walk away, it might be genuine but is it worth all the hassle when all the usual scam warning signs are there.

That negative feedback was left shortly after they joined and started selling, then 5 months later they turn up to sell again.
As stated a con.

But on another point bargains can be had just be savy and watch the market prices and sellers.

I feared a seller would back out of a auction when i was highest bidder on a car.

Bloke had cracking feedback but expected him to back out as was £1500 below book price for private sale.

He Didnt and one happy bunny.

Bargains can be had but buyer beware.

Ask him for a picture of the camera with a loaf of bread, or a duck... ;)

I just looked at the link. Close the book and walk away. there isn't a deal here. Not with a seller with -1 transactions and 0% feedback.
Another way to look at the 'risk' is, how would you feel if it turned out that you lost £500+ quid and didn't heed the warnings.

I recently saw an ebay ad from a Hong Kong dealer selling a new D80 with a 18-200VR lens for £425 and £25 postage. I looked closely and walked away...

I think i'll stick with the D200 ;)

It's scammier than a scammer, scamming a nigerian banker ;)

Matty....don't knock these Nigerian bankers, they're good blokes.

I've invested all my money with one. If it doesn't increase by 5% a month then he'll email me to appologise.....seems to be doing well at the moment, 9 months and not a single email....:D
