Very odd. Obviously I wouldn't furnish any more details until I had spoken to the bride and her 'lovely husband'.

Scam, spam or possibly genuine?

Well not everybody has English as their mother tongue, it does sound a bit odd but might be worth a carefully worded reply to find out date and venue and sound her out a bit.

almost certainly a scam - they'll send you a cheque that's over the amount, and then ask for a cheque to make up the difference. In the meantime, the cheque you where sent will bounce. I have heard of photographer scams in the past.

Standard scam behaviour. You probably wouldn't lose anything asking them for dates, locations etc if there's even a chance it's real, but from the lack of details (next month, jade etc) and the fact she calls her husband/fiance "husband" instead of husband-to-be or fiance (how many brides won't be so excited by the fact they have a fiance that they'd call them husband?)

email her and ask her for more details - also do you have an online ad cos if not its probley a scam

Just make sure that when you do *cough* attend the wedding, Somebody is left at home to catch the scamming buggers who will be coming round to rob you!

Scam scam scam scam, Petemc had the same thing a while ago.

LOL. It has that bad grammar thing that just smacks of Nigeria.

Expart  cus

Put me down as a scam :suspect:

One way to find out is to say your fee for the day would be £100000 and see what the reply is. If it's genuine you can always say you missed out the decimal point :D

Obviously a scam. She wants to know whether you can do the wedding, but she doesn't tell you where it is, or when?

Almost certainly a scam.

The way it will work is that they will ask you if you wouldn't mind if they send you a cheque for more than the full amount and then you pay another supplier (e.g. the videographer, cake maker etc) because of some reason or other and if you agree send you the details of themselves so you can pay them.

By all means reply and ask for more details, as have been suggested you can always ring the location and check they really do have the location booked. But personally I wouldn't touch this with a 16ft disinfected bargepole - just bin it.
