Scalextric - quite a lot.

We took him to the vet in September with the odd cough, sounded like kennel cough ,diagnosed with Heart murmur and was given meds after a scan ,were told he would always have the cough ,which was only occurring once a day and we could live with that ,however it just got worse ,when I was in my mountain climbing days this dog would walk miles ,April 2006, 2007 and 2008 my Dog and I were the highest in England were we would do Scaffell pike and were the first to the top ,he would walk 20 miles for fun ,was out three times a day during the week without fail ,and the miles he would tot up at weekend was an average 15 to 20 miles ,as said sorry to derail your thread but its helped talking to someone ,I cant show it in front of the family .

Ain`t easy burying your dogs, I always blub when it happens, no shame in it. Some of the hardest men I know, men who can take pain and toil, cry when their best mate dies. That is what most dogs are.

Mine is due to go soon, not looking forward to it at all.

Woke up this morning early as normal, and normally my wife would have a comment on the lines of were you taking him,Dipper hunting owl hunting etc,she always believed it was the dog that found them, not the same this morning but still going up to the moors...as always I have said I am not going through this again ,I know my wife and children are going through the same and I have a funny feeling that their will be a Dog somewhere in a rescue home that needs a good home and will be coming home with us ,just like we have for the last 25 years

Good!

Back to Scalextric, and to her credit, the Christmas my ex was heavily pregnant she asked me "So are you buying Scalextric then? It could be your last chance; it could be a girl!" :D

Same here when we lost our last one.
Swore we'd never go through it again, but 6 weeks later we were at the rescue centre :)

BTW if you want to Den, I'll move all of these posts into their own thread for you to keep them separate to the Scalextrix stuff.

By the way, Den, if you're looking for a new dog, this morning we have a special offer and free delivery to anywhere of a Jack Russell who has just walked muddy paws all over our white Egyptian cotton bedsheets!

After the shouting and skulking, I think she might welcome a new home too!

No Problem, I just needed to have a talk about it last night ..

Just went searching and as I thought there's a huge bunch of Matchbox Powertrack boxed up in the garage.

Really sorry to hear that @den

And also sorry for the loss of yours & the derail Phil
but I can help thinking that Skye is really being hopeful in that 1st image :D
