SB600/800 parts diagram?

I have just tried the link and it works for me.

Yes theres a way to do this. I have seen someone butcher their SB800 and managed to get it to turn the other way as well. Think it may have been on youtube or something.

There is one on You Tube "Nikon D600 135 degree mod"

Cheers!

I edited the link by the way.. not sure what went wrong!

I had seen the video, gave it a little try.. but not quite brave enough!

It looks simple enough to complete this mod. Just 6 screws and a quick zap with the dremel. Can't say i've found the rotation of the SB800 a problem myself but if I did I wouldn't be put off doing the mod.

Looks good to me. just need a dremel.

Where I wanted the flash on verticals was annoying to me. Exactly as he shows near the start of the video.

Massive thanks for the video link.

look dangerous to me :)

Looks fine if you have a steady hand and follow ALL the instructions. I'd love to do it, but i'm also not very great at fiddly things :) It would be a great benefit to me for when i shoot vertical with flash indoors.

last time i disassembled a P&S i shorted the flash's capacitor (it was very soon after the battery came out) and a almighty crack and plume of smoke. though i did have the intention to break it good and proper

A gas cooker and an old screwdriver makes a good dremmel substitute if its never seen, just be careful you dont 'poke' through the case :D
