One of my sb900's overheated during a register signing once but have never had an issue since turning it off ! Call me cynical but I reckon on the sb910 they have just changed the threshold, will be same components within.

yep same here - switched the thermal cut out off,never been an issue

Never had an issue as well...It's one of those situation imo where the internet isn't necessarily useful...

The tome I did have an issue I was in a small dark room, expising for a lovely building through the window on full sun, using the flash on bounce to expose the room and people on it. So the flash was working HARD.
