sb-600 problem

hi everyone

my sb-600 'failed' yesterday and just wondered if anyone had experienced anything similar?

it feels like there's is possibly a loose connection. even when putting in fresh batteries, there is power which goes to the unit (as the little LEDs under the edge of the screen light up), however there is no display on the LCD (i.e. no symbols, no text, etc. just a blank screen.)

it has worked previously and worked for a time yesterday, but then just packed up with the problems above

you defo the batterys are ok.
my mate had this and was sure the sets of batterys he tried were fine except thay were flat.

hmm, I will triple check, but did put a set of freshly charged AAs in.
just out of interest, how long would do people expect a set of rechargeable AAs to last in a flash? I know that depends on the capacity of the batteries, if the flash is used constantly, etc... but as a rough estimate?

mine i use uniross hybros and they last ages i did a party not long ago and they lasted over 400 shots and i used the flash a couple times after that.
