I would never normally publish any part of a PM but this was actually the way Sawman wanted it to be done

I have no wish to compete in such a thing & no wish to judge it either.
In fact I just want to donate it without any fuss.
Would you think this a good enough prize? Would you like to run the comp?

Congratulations Crieffy, lovely winning shot and I must say that the standard of entries for this wildlife competition were some of the highest I've seen on Talk Photography...Superb effort by everyone.

Now that it is all over.

First off my thanks to Dod for his work in organising / running the comp. It was very good of you.

The standard of entries was very high I thought considering the prize is just a bit of wood.

I am glad I did not judge it as I had seven winners!

The different deer shots were very good I thought. One even had a wee bit of humour.


One shot which although it did not win, did give me a wee lump in the throat.
That was Markyboy's staggie in the glen. That is my habitat too & I miss the glens.

However shame on you all for not putting any Red Squirrels or Roe deer in.:shrug:

Once again thank you one & all for your entries. I have enjoyed looking at them all.
Maybe we might do it again sometime ( I have an idea for a wolf portrait on a piece of wood).

Also my congratulations to the winner, Crieffy.
I used to do quite a bit with Otters some years back & they are always great to watch.
I only hope you like your prize when you get it. Better go give it a final polish up.
