saving jpegs on memory stick (Mac) to Windows

Hi all

if i save jpeg files on to a memory stick plugged into a mac book, would they then be viewable/downloadable if stick plugged into a windows machine..

in other words if i take photos at an event then sell onsite by putting on a memory stick would buyers be able to plug stick into either a mac or PC and retrieve there images ?
