Save the Photographer Campaign

Lots of togs with studios and shops do passport photos. Many of my friends do. Lots every week.

How dense do have to be to think a pro would not offer this service. they get the prints in 5 mins.

you are photographer then most do offer that service. I do not have a studio or shop but we still get calls so I point to the chaps in town.

Didn't mean to offend, but surely of you need passport photos you put a few quid in a machine in boots or something?

Going to a professional? For passport photos? Really?

That's what I was thinking too!

Is it a case of vanity? and just how much would a pro charge for a passport photo?

Will these machines do as much damage as stated if they're going into 750 post offices out of the 11'000+ branches nationwide?

From my purely personal point of view it would be quite handy - in our local town there isn't a booth or a photographer advertising the service

Well for civilians the pros probably charge too much. To fellow pros they definitely don't charge enough and are devaluing the profession ;)

As I said in the other thread, time to move with the times. Offer a digital service for people as well. If you don't want to give up the digital copy you could even have a machine in the front office that they could complete the online application forms on to save them having to make the trek to the post office.

Times move on, systems change accept and adapt or die out like the dinosaurs.

Get a scanner put in the post office, and scan the passport photo.

Simple

That wouldn't be accepted!

They are VERY fussy about the photograph these days. Another good reason to just let them do it....
