Yes
Is it possible to load destinations on a phone and then transfer them to a sat nav when I get it?

I'm on a TP Iceland trip in June and would just use the phone but I've been advised we can't use the charger in the camper van whilst driving.

Cheers.

Depends on the vehicle, Our Nissan Xtrail Tekna has what they call a Nissanconnect where one can transfer from a computer straight into the Nissan sat nav system (first year free). Or just plug in your tablet or smartphone if that is preferable.
Maybe your vehicle has something similar?

I don't know about transferring locations but I find it very strange that you can.t plug your phone into the cig lighter socket while driving, I would certainly investigate that a bit further.
I can understand not being allowed to make phone calls while driving that makes sense

I agree with Chris. Yor camper van alternator should produce enough electrical power for you to run your phone charger while on the move. My son tried charging his overnight whilst camping ,and the car battery was flat in the morning and had to call the breakdown people to get the car started

Car batter output is around 12.5V or thereabouts and the alternator pumps out just over 14v. you can easily check using one of these

Easy bit of kit go across batt terminals for "static 12v" reading and when engine running it should read around 14.5v which shows to alternater is doing its job
