Daily Sarah's 365 31st December 2013 - The End! (CAN'T BELIEVE I'VE ACTUALLY FINISHED!!)

20th July 2013

Some flowers

Not sure what these are, but they are tiny. The plant they are on looks like grass, but is jet black & then these flower spikes appear and they are this lovely delicate mauve colour & have a waxy texture. Thought they rather suited this small stone pot. For scale, the height of the pot is about 3cm withougt the lid.

Hi Sarah, I believe that your grass is Ophiopogon planiscapus "nigrescens". I just checked the label on ours!

It was lovely to meet you and yours at CA today. :)

Maybe the staff at McDonalds need some training from the Lego men! Very funny pic!!

I really love tonights, Sarah - great shot, truly! :)

Having a quick catch up- liking the arches and of course your flowers.

Dino is so funny

Flowers are lovely and I like the tiles but the "white on white" is a bit too bright for me :)

Maybe its me viewing it on phone but the whites look good.. The floor creates a neat break. But perhaps it needs more space above...i feel claustrophobic?

The Fuschias look so much better on flickr against a black page... Great colours, but I agree with Frank that it feels like it needs a little more space top & bottom.

Thanks all, I've got space at top and bottom on original file, so can sort that out. The background is again a deliberately lit background & balanced so that you can still see the white jug in front of it, not so white that it disappears, but keeping everything else very white to make the flowers stand out.

Great shot - nice crater detail and the cloud obscuring part really adds to the impact :)

When I saw that great sky last night I got very close to going out with my camera but I had to be a grown up - I had other stuff I had to do... :(

You've done a great job here Sarah.
