Daily Sarah's 365 31st December 2013 - The End! (CAN'T BELIEVE I'VE ACTUALLY FINISHED!!)

Hmmm...for some reason I am off to make a hot chocolate now!

LOL, I can't look at it as keep fancying hot chocolate :)

Nice looking building and it must be great to explore with your camera.

Thank you, I will be going a few more times. I have heard from a Council worker that there are no interiors in them, apparently, just damp shells with rats & pigeons. Well done again my town council. :(

Nice capture Sarah !

Thank you.

Superb detail Sarah... looks beautiful!

Another fantastic shot Sarah, dare I say it but another potential postcard ;)

No, you can say it :) I am thinking over this year of getting enough shots together to produce a book of my Northamptonshire & parts of the surrounding counties.

Lovely composition in the London Road Cemetery photo, worth revisiting with some white fluffy clouds against a summer blue sky...

Thank you, I certainly will.

Upper Dean Windmill

Text from windmillworld.com
"Derelict for many years, it has recently (2004) had a lot of work done to it. The tower brickwork has been repaired, with new doors and windows installed. A new cap has been fitted which is much the same shape as the original - the two derelict sails have been retained, but there is no provision for replacing the fantail assembly. Unclear what has happened to the internal machinery. The mill is now in the grounds of a house, which appears to be newly built in a traditional style."

Lovely, I do like the way you tell us all about what we are seeing too.

Beautiful Sarah, I too love your little history bits you include :D

Star trails would be good, not sure they would let you light paint as it's in some bodies garden, they've obviously spent some money restoring it a bit, the footpath goes up their drive, then through the fence and up past the mill, but they've planted some spikey bushes to get though so maybe not keen on visitors.

Beautiful shot of the churches Sarah  What a pity they are used as storage though - the interiors would be lovely in the day :)
Wonderful Windmill as well :)

Thanks Carol, hope you are feeling better today.

I love windmills! Lovely Sarah!!

So do I Trace, think the website windmillworld.com has a search facility to find them locally. Andy found this one for me last year when he was out on his bike, he really is very, very useful. :D

Thanks Sarah Feeling better today Thanks :D

"Fly My Pretties!......Fly!" :D

I like this one - the shadow really makes it work for me BTW

Beautiful shoes, how can you not feel happy wearing those :D

LOL, I'm sure some of the tenants I chase for rent in my job think I'm the wicked witch & not Dorothy :)

...never for one instant thought of you as Dorothy - despite the quote - I assumed the shot was taken just before the house hit you.... :suspect:
