Thanks Carol

There's that wood again! Gorgeous. I love the marshmallows :D

Toni, for less than a fiver, it's one of the best things I've bought recently for photography, although it's true colour is a little to yellow/orange, so needs a bit of desaturating.

Great shot yesterday, again nice macro work and great detail. Really nice shot for today, lit superbly and excellent composition.

Awwww that's pretty! ..... Very very thoughtful hubby tooo how sweet!

Snowdrops

I've been wanting to get out to Chelveston for the past week to see the snowdrops and aconites at the Church of St John the Baptist.
As with all my planned outings at the moment, things never run smooth. I was nearly out of power on the camera & forgot to take out a spare battery. The connection went wrong between the camera and lens (luckily I did take a spare one of them). The locals were also a most unfriendly bunch, by the looks on their faces you'd have thought I'd said "****** instead of good afternoon.
Still a lovely church and well worth a visit this weekend as it is their annual snowdrop open weekend.

Lovely shot - I do like some nice church stonework :)

...nice to see you got down properly this time too.... :naughty:

Pity about the surly locals :(

Gorgeous Sarah and lovely composition!... Nothing worse than miserable locals!

Mm hot chocolate and marshmallows, and what a cool mug! It's like a sculpture :)

Very nice church scene and those snow drops make all the difference!

Love yesterday's a very nice way to do valentines, also looks like a really cool mug, now todays I love, the only thing I do wonder is if it would have been possible to get a low angle down in the drops?

Gorgeous, and made the more so by the lovely blue sky - I miss spring bulb flowers here :(

Very Very Nice photography Sarah and well worth the hassle !!

Thanks Vince.

Thanks Tim, another one that likes the mug :) As for the church, this is the best time of year to visit.

Thanks Matt, tripod was down at knee level, but probably could have gone lower.

The Mortuary Chapels

These two chapels are in the grounds of the London Road Cemetery in Wellingborough. Two were built between 1857-1858, one for the Anglican community and one for Non Conformists. Both are Grade II listed, but the windows are boarded and the doors locked. Unfortunately English Heritage seems not to have inspected the interiors & I think the council use them for storage, so not sure what state they are in, but guess not good. The cemetery itself has been closed for burials for a number of years now, but there are some fine memorial stones to be seen.

 Superb processing and lovely buildings - damn shame that tree is in front of them preventing the mirror image shot.

Would love to be able to get inside :D

Whole group of trees Sarah. Mind you, they let some lovely dappled light onto the gravestones.
I think the insides would be a disappointment. They are grade II listed but the insides not inspected. I think the council use them for storage, so bet they are not in good state and all the fittings gone. I might ask the council though or the local civic society.

Hi Sarah catching up on your thread too! How nice to get some photo inspiration on St V Day! Love the church too!
