Daily Sarah's 365 31st December 2013 - The End! (CAN'T BELIEVE I'VE ACTUALLY FINISHED!!)

22nd January 2013

Foggy afternoon in the park.

Shot this on my way home from work today and it's a view across the park near our house that we see almost every day of the year, but the fog and snow have given it a completely different feel, as has the crow flying past, which was a real stroke of luck, as I'd seen it in the tree and was hoping it would move.
I'm really happy with the 365 so far, it's really making me think about shots in my local area much more than before.

Another very good shot - might be worth bumping the crow a little in PP to make it stand out a little more IMO :)

Very nice wintery feel, like the composition very much.

Thanks all. Jim, yes, might be worth just burning in the crow a little more, but don't want to lose the foggy feel.
Vince, have the shot without the crow as well & it looks like a really, meh, shot. I think the crow gives a focal point.

Loving that last shot lots! It's wonderful! That bird is a cracking catch in the scene. I don't think I'd do anything with it to be honest, it's a great shot just as it is

How did you guess, although in full I said "Thanks Harry crow, you were amazing" :)

My Mum always used to say Hello Harry Crow whenever she saw one. Bit like when you see a single magpie and to change the luck to good you say "good morning Mr Magpie, how's your wife".

Bonkers, me? ................

Nice atmospheric shot today anyway Sarah.

Beautiful shot Sarah and love the crow in it :) Fantasy feel to it :)

Thats lovely Sarah.. whata stroke of luck the crow moving then:thumbs:

Nice shot Sarah! I have no idea what to do today, I wanted to head out before dark, but got caught up in my Police application and completely forgot the time

Thanks Jake, I didn't do this until about an hour ago, but job application for Police is probably more important. Good Luck :)

Nicely shot and composed - natural processing :)

Jim, Natural processing :) My work here is done. :D This is 3 layers and a bit of NIK photo Effex, but if it looks natural, I've got the result I was afer :)

...Bye :naughty:

Love the blue flowers in a jug, the soft colours of the background works really well.

Yesterday's is a wonderful winter shot and I agree that the crow really does add to it, providing a great focal point and feeling of movement in an otherwise very quiet, still day.

Today's works really well and I love your jug, very antiquated look to it which works so well as does the background. :)

Great winter scene (especially with the crow, which suits the mono format), and I really like those flowers. Those colour tones for the whole image are beautiful, very good processing!

Very much liking the jug - one man's trash and all that ;)

The tones are perfect and the processing is spot on

That jug is gorgeous!!... Beautiful still life Sarah

love yesterdays, and todays flowers work really well, helped by the colour contrast

Thank you.

lovely shot nice set up :)

Thanks Hayley, It's one I tend to use quite a bit :)

Thank you, they are pretty, but I did feel a bit bad about snipping them off from the bulbs, as they won't last long now :)

Thanks Sarah, I've found a brilliant antiques centre in Rutland that has lots of little cheapie treasures like this :)

That jug is gorgeous!!... Beautiful still life Sarah

Thanks Trace, hope you're feeling a bit better today.

Beautiful shot :) Love the jug and the reflection from it :)
