Daily Sarah's 365 31st December 2013 - The End! (CAN'T BELIEVE I'VE ACTUALLY FINISHED!!)

Day 4, 4th January 2013

The old bridge at Artlenock (or for those not local Irthlingborough).
This used to be the main bridge on the A6 but it has been replaced with a modern flyover. There is a car park for an industrial estate right next to the bridge and there is a wooden sort of bridge to an island in the middle of the river which gives good access.

Love day 3. The crisp leaf contrasts with the soft background nicely, really pops! The water droplet really tops it off. Beautiful.

Day 4 is beautiful Sarah :) Beautiful colours - great shot

Oh, I love that! I almost wish the.. stuff (grass?) under the first arch on the left wasn't there... the water blends seamlessly into the sky under the 2nd arch and it would've just been the icing on the cake! But still, it's stunning. Really beautiful!

Love Day 4, looks like a nice place to sit and think about "stuff".

I love the reflections and the clouds (I have a bit of a thing about clouds!) - great shot overall. We have been kind of hibernating recently and I just can't wait to get out and about and your photo makes me want to all the more! :)

You were very lucky with the weather , just another plain grey day over here. As someone said it's a pity about the grass in the middle but u can't help that. Good job

OK, this is certainly not a technically very good shot. I've had to crop in as couldn't get very close to the tree even with the telephoto at 400mm on a crop sensor camera. ISO was at 1000 as it is not only cloudy, but the sun is going down behind the tree, so there is a fair old bit of noise in this as well, resulting in a loss of detail.
However, having said that the only birds we get round here are sparrows & starlings, I was gobsmacked to see these in the tree outside, so decided that I would capture a shot of them to be my photo of the day.

If only the weather would play ball for us..... regardless tho.. it's a stunner, like has been said the berry is a cute extra:thumbs:

wonderful shot - regardless of the light, clouds etc - Great job Sarah :) Love the berry in his mouth :)

Well caught even if as you say, it is slightly noisy. You are lucky to see them about, I saw them mentioned on the news one night this week. We will never see them this far west.

Phil

Thanks, I only saw them as I happened to pop out to the garage to say something to hubby & heard an odd bird call. Then all hands on deck to get the right kit out! 2 minutes later they were gone, chased off by a thrush.
