Daily Sarah's 365 31st December 2013 - The End! (CAN'T BELIEVE I'VE ACTUALLY FINISHED!!)

Thanks Trace made me laugh as well. I never knew speckled eggs were caused by flatulent hens :)

Jake, it took me 3 goes at uploading, all of which failed, then suddenly showed up! So think it's a problem their end.

  nor did I

That's the thing... Everytime I see one I shall think of farting hens everywhere!..... Ewwwww lol

Love today's, Sarah, lovely and simple concept, sharp and great against the white.

That hen must have some kind of problem, because it would take one hell of a lot of fart power to create an egg that speckly! Have to say, she farted a nice little pattern over it though!

ETA - I have really enjoyed getting to use the word fart! Especially in context to the conversation! This is a good day! LOL

That is excellent - really simple and crisp and sharp - and do hens really fart

Oh do report back - we need verification on this :D

I used to have white egg layers and brown egg layers and alledgedly that's all to do with the colour of their ears :)

Ears???? AND farting! I need me some chickens! Lol

Nice idea for todays Sarah, yesterdays blossom is awesome though!

Sonriendo-Sarah - if they aren't sitting in your garden, puffed up like balloons or floating a few feet in the air like a strange avian zeppelin, then I guess they fart like the rest of us!:lol:

Sarah, the blossom shot is just perfect. I absolutely love it!

And I was about to use a line.. but Jim got there before me

There's loads left - you could have used the "That's certainly one for the Albumen Sarah...." :p

21st March 2013

St Mary the Virgin, Whiston

Always rather liked the look and position of this church on top of the hill. Another murky dull day, but thought I really had to get out this afternoon & take something outdoors & the position of this church seemed to make the most of the cloudy sky.

I like that Sarah! And I think the cloudy sky works really well! I spy with my little eye something beginning with Dust Bunny ;)
Slight halo I think too!
Love the composition!

You do realise that now I've noticed that I will have to post it again!!!!!!! Halo is the vingette I added to darken the cloud a bit, so I'm ok'ish with that, but not that bloody dust bunny!! Will be cleaning the sensor tomorrow :)

Ah the halo makes sense then! :)
Sorry for pointing it out  PS update your title ;)

Agreed, the sky works really well with the church. Nice!! Now where's this dust bunny? I can't tell what's my dirty screen and what's not

Jake, dust bunny now removed, thanks for spotting it for me :)

Jim Thanks, will probably go back for a sunset or sunrise of this one later in the year as the stone is a lovely warm colour.

Toni, thanks, you wont see the bunny now as it has been removed!

Excellent composition and a very nice looking church - have you worked out which way the sun sets and rises around it?

Another really great photo, Sarah - I love how you've brought the colours out, the composition is great and what I really like is that modern black headstone in among all of the old weathered ones. :)

Stunning Sarah! Looks lovely set up on the hill

Thanks Trace

Think so, have been looking at the Photographers Ephemeris & there are sometimes of the year that the sun sets just behind the tower from this angle, so will have to work out when & hope for a good one :)

Thanks Sam, luckily the colours in the stone on this church make that a simple one to do, the limestone (?) against the local ironstone are a really nice combination used in this part of Northamptonshire.

Great shot Sarah, I will have to stop there sometime myself.

I go past it all the time on the bike but by the time I'm at the top of the hill, photography is the last thing on my mind
