Santa photos

If you were from my neck of the woods it would have been "Santy clas" ok Geordie accent needed.

Lets all sing together "santy clas is comin te toon"

It's Father Christmas in the UK.....

Helpful as always.....

Ash, sometime soon is the Santa run across various bits of the country, 4th Dec iirc, so might be worth you finding a local one, or heading into London for that one, more Santa's than you can wave a wobbly stick at ;)

Can't really help with individual portrait type stuff, never done it, but I imagine balancing ambient and some flash if you want grotto pictures.

Edit: Santa Dash website listings, happening on different weekends http://www.santadash.co.uk/

Christmas, Santa whatever, it is all crap..............;)

Perhaps I am just an old person with a love for tradition and children (not kids).

Father Christmas is the UK, NOT Santa Claus an American (typical) derivation from the correct Dutch Sinterklaas

In fact the North Pole as a home was only founded as a myth in the 1820s, not very long ago.

Thankyou for the history lesson, perhaps you could add to it with some advice for the OP on lighting the man in the red suit, which is the actual point of the thread.
