Our crazy internet network decided to double post the above so I'll edit over with a request on behalf of Sandra who will be visiting her home town Bexhill mid April to End of April for a stroll down memory lane. If you live anywhere near please PM me if you know of any cultural events showing in Sussex that she might be able to see whilst there (Free ones especially!) - even Crawley perhaps? She will have a car. Thanks mate.
There are quite a few of us southern wasters and good for nothings here on this forum that should be able to come up with something to corrupt and ruin your partner before sending her back to you :D ......... and a few in the coastal regions surrounding Bexhill I believe. As for Crawley....... culture??? :gag: Closest thing to culture here is a kebab wrapped in the Daily Telegraph. We had the brand new rubbish recycling centre burn down last year which was a good day's entertainment, so it would be nice to have something happen this year. Carpetright will probably have a sale on.

There are certainly some nice places in the Bexhill region like Rye and Hastings, and plenty of people here are taken by Dungeness, although I haven't been there yet myself. A bit further away there's Brighton, and the Hever and Leeds castles. Or a visit to the Crown Court at Lewes and hopefully see an execution carried out.

Let me know if she will need any help arriving here, transport problems etc.
Thanks for the info and the offer Michael - I emailed our thread to Sandra who will respond to you personally here when she has a clear head - it was late when she got it.

You're going to let my brother help your wife  :cuckoo: Only kidding! :D
:D I'm sure that Sandra would be happy for any help she can get from whomever, and I think I should explain that although Sandra and I have for the past 22years been in some kind of indefineable relationship and were once married for about three of them, she will now quickly tell you that she is nobody's Mrs! So your brother is welcome, Susane! ;)

She's at work today, so we may hear from her later, probably sometime around 1100GMT (Tuesday)

That said, she is a very nice lady and like all nice ladies is excellent company if .... (Why do get the feeling that I've just wandered into a swamp! :gag:) :help:

If She's interested I'm heading out to Guestling wood on the 24th for the Bluebells and on the 25th there's an introduction to the Birds of Brede at Brede High woods starting at 9.

Mike

Hi Mike, this all sounds good to me, I used to go to Collington Woods as a child and I know this got wiped out by a storm a few years back. My mother used to plead with us not to bring any more bluebells home. I will let you know closer to the time if this works out. :)

Hi Mike, Thanks for your suggestions, I already have some of them on my list. I am trying to find out if I was born in Hever Castle. My birth was registered at Lingfield. Mum always said I had some blue blood. My last memory of Crawley was when I told Mark to go straight ahead at a roundabout and he thought that meant left. if you lived there 20 years ago you would have heard me screaming at him.:dummy: I will let you know if I need any help.

I presume you'll be coming in to Heathrow. You have adequate travel arrangements for getting to Bexhill yet? I'll let you have my phone number sometime in case you run in to problems, get put in quarantine or something

:D

:exit:

I am actually arriving Heathrow 5th April and will be staying near Maidenhead and seeing a bit of London before heading down south.
My master plan is to rent a car for the rest of my stay. Thanks for the kind offer of your contact number, I will let you know when I need help. :)
