The question was asked a couple of years ago and the answer was mainly sandisk. Just wondered if that had changed?

I'm a sandisk person usually but im leaning towards lexar in my next cards (micro SD and CF)

I have Sandisk SD & Lexar XQD ... no problems with either :)

I've stuck with SanDisk just because they have never given me a problem, and its a case of if it isn't broke then...........

I've never had any fail and I'm not unhappy, I think it's more of a maybe the grass is greener?

I have used Lexar and Sandisk and never had any problems with either. I still have some Lexar 512mb X80 CF cards that work fine (not that you can fit many files on them :p )
The only reason I have more Sandisk now is because the extreme pro was cheaper than the lexar equivalent when I was buying them.

I've always used SanDisk. And have never considered changing until recently. I'm looking at changing to a full which is CF instead of SD. With the change I've coincidentally stumbled across lexar and am thinking of crossing over will be interesting to see what the opinions are.

I stuck with SanDisk because they DID give me a problem (the read/write tab on the side came out of the card) .... and they fixed it immidiately with absolutely no hassle whatsoever.
I have had two sandisk SD cards do the same thing as that. The read / write tab broke off, once in the card reader. Also the plastic around the pin connections cracks and caused problems. I like Sandisk and find them relaible in every respect except the SD cards are week and will not stand pro sports use where the card is in and out of the camera half a dozen time a match. I now use Delkin 633x and they are as fast as the Sandisks and none have broken so far.

Dont think you can go wrong if you stick with sandisk or lexar. Just make sure you know what you are buying as some of the cards claimed speeds are misleading. (such as the sandisk uhs 2 280mb's cards which if used in a uhs 1 slot is slower than the 95mb's card - its limited to 50mb's).

great site.

The problem is there are so many fake copies of memory cards So I always buy from a main photographic shop and not from Amazon or Ebay, although their stuff may be genuine I would not risk it

Its fine to buy direct from amazon, just make sure its not a third party seller you are buying from.

The only issue i have with Lexar SD cards is the little switch seems to be looser on these cards than on any Sandisk cards Ive had/own. I quite often get an error on my 5D4 telling me the card is locked when i put it back in. This is with 2 different Lexar cards. Never have this issue with other brands.
