I seem to be in a loop of things breaking down what with my DVD drive on my laptop going caput this week :bang: - my card reader died as well and I did a bit of checking to see which was the best / fastest (without being too many beer vouchers) - so I bought the Sandisk Imagemate CF USB2 and wow does this thing fly  - I did a test yesterday with 100mb of .jpg files and it transferred them to my laptop in about 5 seconds (my old reader would have taken more than a minute to do that :geek:)
Anyway if anyone is after a cheap (got mine from some Amazon Marketplace for just over £8) Christmas Stocking Filler this comes Highly Recommended

Cheap no-brand ones are fine in my experience. I think mine was something like £6 delivered from ebuyer.com.

Fair comment Joe but that's what I had and what I was trying to say is for a little more you can get your files downloaded faster than Ben Johnson chasing his steroid supplier ... Paul ;)

I have a Sandisk USB2 CF reader sitting here doing nothing, I installed a multi card reader/dc power outlet/sound card extention/usb hub/thingy in my pc which works just as well.

lolol no, I might need it to use in another pc elsewhere at some point :)
