Sandisk Extreme III question - processing speeds

I currently have a standard 2GB Sandisk card and was looking at buying this card for my Nikon D40. I know the card will perform at high speeds in both reading and writing from the card and for transferring photos to the computer, but what about processing speeds in the camera? Currently if I am taking a long exposure photo (eg 30 seconds) the camera takes roughly an additional 30 seconds to process and save the photo to the memory card. With this Sandisk Extreme III will that time be reduced or roughly be the same? If there is not a speed increase here then I will not buy the card but if it processed long exposure photos quicker then I would be willing to buy it.

Thanks,

It will help a little but its not just the speed of the card here its also the speed of the processor.

When you say a little, are you talking about maybe shaving a second or two off the overall time? eg a time so small it's not worth the price of the card.

For long exposures, it won't make any difference.

The long exposure noise reduction ("Job NR") is what takes the time - in fact it doubles it.

Ok thanks guys. I shall hold off buying until the price drops so low I may as well pick it up. :)
